Jamdagni Rishi Temple

There is a very beautiful Jamdagni Rishi Temple in the Thaan village of Barkot. The temple is 5 kms away from Rigveda Resort. The temple has been renovated recently and it has become one of the top attractions of the tourists in the Yamunotri valley. The architect of the temple is a treat to watch and gives opportunity to travellers to witness the marvellous finesse of artisans. Jamdagni Rishi Temple has Kalpvriksha which is believed to be wish-fulfilling divine tree and many Yatris take blessings from the tree. A local fair is organized every year in the Than Village and locals from the adjacent villages and tourists visit the temple to take blessings from the Almighty and relish the flavours of fair.
